Godwits and knots by dide

Godwits and knots

Yesterday, I had a great day out with @julzmaioro - we went to Miranda to see the birds that have arrived for the summer. Most of the godwits and knots are a drab colour, but one knot was dressed in his breeding plumage. The birds have migrated from Alaska or Siberia to feed during the southern summer, before heading north in March/April so they can breed during the northern summer. All very amazing!
Great shot
