Through the gorge

When driving through the Karangahake Gorge, there's not much leeway for error. This was taken from the old railway bridge, just after we had walked through the 1km tunnel.

A view of the gorge I haven't seen before! I gave only driven along this road on the way north to the Coromandal but always love that drive! Fave for the memory Dianne!

You live in such a beautiful part of the world. I never cease to be amazed at how different the geology and topography of NZ and Australa are. That tectonic plate has a lot to answer for.
