Old

I love old fence posts - most of which are most likely puriri. This is part of the neighbour's fence - I think I'll be returning to have another look soon!
What a beauty, bet it could tell some tales. What a fabulous find.

This fence post has character! Age, texture, grooved patterns, barbed wire & how many spiders & insects have called it home

This is fab. It seems to have a character of its own. Puriri - is that a type of wood/tree?

I like the textures and the barbed wire too although I hate to see it around fields where animals are kept.

@jamibann yes - it’s a strong native timber resistant to rotting when in the ground. Probably not used now, which makes images of these old posts even more precious.
