We are staying at Tawharanui (Ta-far-a-nui) Regional Park. It is north of Auckland and on a beautiful bit of coastline. The peninsula has a predator-proof fence and there is heaps of birdlife. In fact, it is dark now and the tui in the tree next to us is still chortling away. There must have been close to 100 surfers in the three bays just out from where we are camping (well actually - glamping). A lovely place to be and there are lots of family groups. Carrie - we are next to a lady and her cute 5 year old who travelled here today from New Plymouth!
Beautiful with the silvery crest of the waves , its many layers and shades of blue/grey . A lovely place to be glamping amongst these bays - enjoy - fav
