Pohutukawa by dide

Pohutukawa

The theme for camera club this month is 'red'. After high winds on the weekend, there were lots of pohutukawa leaves on the lawn, so I decided to have a play with them. I'm not sure this image will make the cut, but it was fun anyway.
Superb tones, detail and subtle use of a dark vignette drawing the eye it the focus point, fits the theme well Dianne:)

Interesting leaves, they look as though they have been eaten by some sort of insect. Love the colours.

Beautiful. Never heard of a Pohutukawa. Suppose it's a Maori name?
