Chook is dwarfed by Josh's maize crop. The beginning of summer was very wet, so the maize appears to be doing extra well this year. It's starting to flower, so won't be too many weeks before it is chopped down and shredded into silage.
A very tall crop! It would make a great maize, we have an enterprising farm near us that grows a crop every year and turns it into the maize maize, it’s just in time for the good weather and the whole field is turned into a children’s playground! They do very well out of it!
Wow this does look a really good crop Dianne. We had good crops too last summer, a wettish spring then a long hot summer. It’s a bit off harvest time so it will be a bumper crop. Good news indeed!
