Hamilton's Gap by dide

Hamilton's Gap

This image was taken a few weeks ago, but I liked the peaceful feel to it, so I've added it in. We were stayed here for part of the weekend and Chook was very happy to have caught some nice snapper while surfcasting off the beach. NZers continue to try to find the positives after the mass shooting. A fund has been set up to help the families who lost loved ones. Already three million dollars have been raised.
I love this Dianne! Instant fav.

What an amazing effort with the fundraising. There must be so many families just devastated.

A lovely beach scene.

People can be so good to help when tragedy happens. Your countrymen are kind and generous.

A beautiful image. NZers are so good at finding a positive way of thinking after such tragedies.

I love your beautiful beach image but, like all of us, am still reeling after the atrocities perpetrated in Christchurch.

@golftragic yes - there have been vigils and ceremonies and so,so many flowers and so much outpouring of love all around NZ.

@dide And here too. You'll have to pardon the idiotic comments by some of our pollies I'm afraid. There's an election looming and their brains seem to be fried. As for Fraser Anning, there's over a million signatures so far on a petition to have him chucked out of parliament. Can't be done constitutionally unfortunately, but he won't get back after this election. People here are shocked, horrified and saddened.

@golftragic nice to think that you folk across the ditch are holding vigils too. We won’t even begin to talk about Fraser!

@dide The kid that egged him has had a huge amount of money raised for his legal costs and he's been elevated to hero status. As for the village idiot, did you realised he's sitting in parliament with only 19 primary votes thanks to the ideosyncracies of our Senate voting system and the MPs that had to resign due to the dual citizenship fiasco. As for the vigils, that's what I'd expect, we're family.
