The view

We are staying in the camping ground at Mt Maunganui, right across from the Port of Tauranga. We are amazed by how many container ships and log carriers come and go. This is pretty much a zoomed in view from our van, so there's lots to see. Lots of walking today in between cold heavy showers of rain (and sometimes in the rain too!) First day of winter and it's living up to its name.

This isn’t the sight we normally see when we visit Mount Maunganui.....sea & sand usually not container ships although we have seen them on the other side. The ship seems to glow blue....lovely light!
