The farm by dide

The farm

Josh finished off a bit of fence today so I could plant some flax and cabbage trees down by the stream. It was just a small area, so just needs one big tree to complete it. I have chosen a red flowering gum; even though this area is mainly NZ natives. The gum will give some colour and late summer food for the bees and the nectar eating birds.
Bet it will be lovely

Your tree planting is awesome Dianne...how very satisfying to see then grow! That’s the one thing we will be sorry to leave here as we’ve planted about forty tress & they have grown so much over the years. Nice fencing shot! Fave.

@golftragic I’ve had to order one from down towards Wellington - (actually two) so hopefully they turn up this week. I would’ve like one red and one orange but will take anything at this stage.
