We had a lovely picnic tea at Little Shoal Bay this evening. Rudy loves exploring and enjoyed running around the seashore at low tide. Needless to say he managed to get pretty grubby. He is 15 months old and loves outside play - and his great parents are more than happy to allow him the freedom to get dirty!
This reminds me of my younger ginger haired brother, Michael, a water baby, child, ado and latterly a water skier. We lived in the Isle of Man, literally…across the road from the beach. Like Rudy, M loved water. He'd go in the water, fully clad, no shoes. He'd paddle…in the shallows…then knee height…wet shorts adhered to his legs…. He never got much further as the those around him would ‘rescue’ him. He was not amused! As an adult, he used to water ski…and was always one of the gang who went swimming in the sea on New Year's Day. He died just a few weeks after his retirement. I miss him.
@s4sayer your ‘little’ brother Michael sounds like he really loved all water and water sports. I am pleased this pic brought back happy memories for you.
