I love the feijoa flowers and look forward to the fruit in autumn. Last year, the first lot of fruit were full of guava moth caterpillars, so that was upsetting. The later fruit seemed to be ok. This year, when they started flowering, I put out a moth trap. It releases pheromones and is supposed to attract the male moth, meaning that the eggs cannot be fertilised and no caterpillars can hatch out. As of today, I have not caught even one moth, so it is a wait and see game as to what happens in autumn...
