Long gone are the days where you cannot lift your hockey stick above your shoulder. Nowdays, the backs (and other players too) often send the ball down the field over the heads of the players, meaning it can be stopped in the air with the stick. We watched Chad (yellow stripes) yesterday and they had a good 5-0 win. It was incredibly hot for them to be playing a 'winter' sport.
@happypat it has its moments - our family have had- broken nose, three teeth knocked out, broken finger and collar bone, various stitches amongst strains and sprains…. Mind you, that’s 4 competitive kids over 25 years. As Chad says, we’re not going out there to play tiddly winks, mum!
I've never seen hockey played on anything but ICE! lol
