"Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the Lord: He is our help and our shield." (Psalms 33:18-20)
When my Wife and I were leaving for work this morning, I couldn't believe the beautiful cloud formations and the colors. I put down my things and got out my camera. Tonight when I uploaded the photos, this one in particular reminded me of an eye, and it reminded me that God's eyes are always upon us, It is a great assurance of His wonderful love for us.
This is awesome and beautiful!! Whenever I look at nature, I think about how wonderful and creative is my God!! I love the sentiment and am glad that God's eye is watching me! Thank you for sharing this!
That truely is the eye of the Lord, totally mesmerizing & serene..
Rick the kettle does not whistle but it's cordless, turns itself off & boils faster than any other kettle I've seen. Mind you there are times I wish it did have a whistle because I get doing other things & forget about it LOL
Great shot :) It will never cease to amaze me how some of the best shots we are fortunate to take require no set up or monkey business, lol
Ya point the camera up and pull the trigger... And nature takes care of the rest :) Well maybe a little bit of post processing too, lol.
Again, Great shot Rick :)
Lovely shot, Rick. Isn't it great that God's eyes are on the sparrow and on us. If I was ever to have someone look out for me, then God is a pretty safe bet :-)
Love the colour variation from bottom to top.
What a view, not to be missed! I love how you and others spread the word through your photos and a bit of scripture. The visuals are always so telling...but then, everyday beauty speaks for itself, too! We leave Lunenburg a week from today t head to Chicago to see our girls for a week...then home. It's not exactly the end of the traveling for the year, but my calendar will unfold over the coming weeks. A part of me worries that I write too much on the Internet, but I do love sharing with everyone and appreciate it when others are open, too.
Your picture and title reminds me of an old song -- "His Eye is Upon the Sparrow"
Why do I feel discouraged,
Why do the shadows come?
Why does my heart feel lonely
and long for heaven and home?
When Jesus is my portion;
a constant friend is He.
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me
His eye is on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me…
It certainly does look like an eye and God is always watching us!
Is.
AMAZING!!!

I'm in the Colorado Rockies, Aspen, at 7900 feet. The day warmed up nicely ...
