Vital to your health and well being are the basics. Know the signs of elevated blood pressure, and keep and eye on it. It could save your life. The advances in technology have made it easy for anyone to keep tabs on their own health. All you do is push a button, and in a few seconds you have gained knowledge, knowledge that could save your life. Working in the healthcare field, gadgets like this save time, although I still enjoy taking a blood pressure the old fashion way. Your health is important. You are important. Take the time to care.
They sure do offer a variety of health related gadgets for the consumer today. I was amazed at all the choices I had when I went to Walmart to buy a thermometer recently!
This is a fancy version - I've only every seen and had used the upper arm hand pump version. It must be interesting to see changes in technology in your line of work - Great theme shot.
awesome for the theme! truly technology we can't live without! (:
rick, thanks so much for taking the time to look at and comment on brock's photos--it's so special to him (and me!)
my blood preasure is always low so low i have collapsed several times and had to go hospital..stuck on ivs....but they dont give me nothing for it so no point checking it
Nice shot and message. Mine was starting to creep up a little, but I made some diet and exercise changes and it is back down again. great one for the theme.
Like that picture. good message.
Thanks for comments on baptism. If you like the windows there are professional photographs of them http://www.pauldawson.co.uk/stnicholas/ taken by a son of the parish.
Technology is amazing and I think gadgets like this can give people a sense of being involved in their own care if they are able to use them. Monitoring a problem is an important step. Nicely composed photo and well stated.
We live in a time when technology is in it's infancy. Can you imagine what it will be like in 10 years, 20 years, 50 years? These pictures will be forever a part of our history. Good shot!
You always have such good advice on many levels! Is this a way to take blood pressure at home? Seems so much "friendlier" & easier than the cuff. Nicely photographed! Just read your comment that ended, "Now we are anticipating what you have in store for tomorrow's photo"...OMG, the pressure! We don't have spontaneous marching bands everyday!
When our daughter was on dialysis, we had to take her blood pressure every morning, and I really enjoyed doing it the old fashioned way, too.
On her, I mean. I'd still like the modern tech for me! ;-)
Rick thank you so much for all the new info. But I have to tell you, I am very glad you still do it the old fashioned way. I used a wrist meter and it said I was normal and my botton number was actually very high. But I think it is because I am so very hard to hear. Love the pic.
This shot made me think how I shouldn't be sitting here looking at photos, but instead I should be spinning in my garage! Thanks for the motivation Rick!
This is a very important message and thanks for putting it forward ... but i must say at first glance I thought I was seeing a[robot] face made up of technology. Thanks for passing by my images and for all your comments.

I want one of my own!

Funny, I had forgotten all about that.
