I already had my photo picked out for the day, and it was related to our week's theme. On my way home, I decided to take an alternate route that led me down this country road, and finally in between two corn fields. The sky was clouding as though it was going to rain, and the sun started its slow passage behind the clouds. As it traveled deeper and deeper into the darker cloud cover, the sun's rays began to appear. I was waiting for the right moment, figuring I might just be lucky enough to catch a real dramatic shot. Then I arrived at a spot that allowed me to capture the cornfield as well. I grabbed the shot, but wasn't sure how it would look once I uploaded it. I already had another photo ready to go just in case, but when I saw this, it was hands down, This Came In First. Not the most colorful, but yet dramatic.
I love the shot, and the story behind it. Sometimes you just gotta go with your gut, even if it means going out of your way. You just might come across something beautiful!
What a beautiful sight! I love that you waitied for it with anticipation...and that you were so rewarded! Thanks for sharing it with us all...what a beauty!
The fields always seem to be so peaceful.
You captured the feeling.
Thanks for your thoughts with Stella's loss. It's been hard but getting better slowly.
