This is the only Christmas Decoration I have out so far. It was a free gift last year that has been sitting on the closet shelf since last Christmas. I spotted the little red box and pulled it out to see what was inside, and there it was. Everything else is still in the attic waiting to be brought down. We will do that next week once my Wife returns home. I wouldn't want to deprive her of the joy of unpacking the decorations to decide what we are going to put out. I'd like to have it decorated by next weekend when the Grandkids come over for the weekend. They make it all worthwhile.
Cool ornament! I'm finding it hard to get in the Christmas spirit this year as I'm working all Christmas and not going home. I will have to live vicariously through everyone on here!
Very pretty, Rick. We do the same thing - get things out and decide which things are a go and which things might get donated to Goodwill, etc. We have pared down our decorations to a manageable number since we moved to our townhome.
I just love the glimps into your holiday traditions, Rick. Also love this shot, the framing etc. Makes me want to put up our tree. ;-) May just do that this weekend.
What a pretty bauble!!! We had help from the kiddies to put up our tree, it's so much more fun now! Plus it means I get to sit back and take the photos while the little ones help daddy.
A great teaser for the full Christmas show.We have cut back on decorating since we travel to Florida at Christmas to see our grand daughter. Just a wreath on the front door. At least I don't have to undecorate the tree when we return!
Ha, it's a cute little ornament. I still have a red Christmas ball hanging from my kitchen clock from last year. My daughter put it up there and I never bothered to take it down.
It's beautiful, Rick! I really need to get out a few decorations to help me get in the holiday mode. We chop down our own tree so we don't do it until two weeks before, which will be here before you know it!
How sweet to read your sentiments about the grandkids coming to the house over the holidays! While I look forward to having my turn in that fashion one day, this is the first year we won't be sitting by a tree. I've enjoyed looking at people's Christmas pictures this evening, and find pleasure in seeing your one ornament...the first hint at all that's in store in the week ahead for you! Merry Christmas, Rick! I may not have much time on 365 in the coming weeks, but know I'm wishing you the best!
To be honest I'm not sure what degree it was. They recommended not coming in unless it blistered. I had ice, cold water bucket and then cold compresses on it... it is just now threatening to blister. It covers 3 inches long (up onto my palm and down my wrist) and 2 inches wide. I'll tell you, I've got a new sympathy for those people in burn units. Me and my morphine drip would have been inseparable! On that note, it is time for more aloe goo. :)
Opps .. was going to add time. Thankyou for your comment on my pic, of the horses, the one without the coat is a hardy breed ,and they go in the barn at night
That is so nice Rick, I think it's nice to have something up otherwise it's just not Christmas. We have a few things still, but without any little ones coming we don't feel like it's Christmas. If we all get together for the meal on Christmas Day then that will be wonderful, but sad to say gone are the wonderful family Christmases with children. It's almost beginning to feel like I have heard someone say, I dread Christmas , I Pray to God I will never get to that stage. I would rather go and volunteer at a Kitchen than sit home getting sadder.
It really is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas lately and the picture of your ornament helped!! :) We'll all be waiting for pictures once the decorating is done! Have fun with the grandkids! :)
