Fired Up by digitalrn

Fired Up

This church near my home really appears to be "on fire" for the Lord...(To clarify, the truck was just parked at the stop sign. they were not there on a fire call) Hey, it was a busy day to day, didn't get home until late, had things to do tonight and just got back home now. On my way home I knew it would be rough getting my photo in for today, so when I saw this truck parked in front of this nearby church, I thought, yes, this is going to be my photo for today. Not a great photo, but hey, that is all I had time for today.
Hope all was well at the church

@sarasdadandmom I should have clarified, the truck was waiting at the stop sign, Just at the right spot for a photo. they were not there on a call.

I just did a scan of followers and discovered I had a whole bunch who had not been active in the last 28 days (the site called them zombies") SOme of thse folks had actually gotten to 90% of the project and quit. I can't imagine getting that close and not completing but that's just me. I bring this up to point out you are doing great to take your membership so seriously nd make sure you get a shot posted every day.

Glad the truck was just at the stop sign! Love the pun in your comment, pretty cute!

Haha - good catch! Not only is the church fired up, it is a place of rescue.

.... or is that refuge? :)

But the photo fits today perfectly. That's what it's all about. I'm tired...so I'm not sure that I know what I am saying.

@allie912 Allison, thanks for the feedback. When I first started this project I didn't realize what I was getting into. It has been a lot of fun, and I reealize I spend way too much time on here, but I make it a point to comment on everyone that appears on my page, and though the comments may not be lengthy, I still view and comment on each one. I can't believe in June it will be a year already. I am not sure I will be able to devote as much time another year.

@cortens Julie, it is a rescue truck, and good play on the words too. It is a place of rescue.

Love this and I'm glad there is no physical
fire but I hope they are on fire spiritually
for the Lord.
March 3rd, 2011
haha isn't it funny the things we "see" now since starting this project??? :)
March 3rd, 2011
True...I realize now that I took alot of the things around me for granted before I started this project. I really do pay more attention now to what's going on around me!

Good capture for sure Rick.

Sue

Ah, you know what, we don't have to get crazy to take a very good photo everyday, sometimes life is just the way it is and we don't have time, and that is ok.
I like the photo, the blue is beautiful

Haha! Cool!

Love the blue sky, cool shot Rick

Shooting anything at all is really the point of this, right?! And besides, it's a really good pic anyway. Always good to have the eyes open!
March 3rd, 2011
Ha--glad it wasn't going up in flames! That's funny, i almost got a fire truck photo yesterday too but I was too shy to ask if I could!
March 3rd, 2011
Lol! Cute title! Glad it was an illusion!~
March 3rd, 2011
Rick I'm glad you took a quick shot and posted it. I love your lengthy and thought- out pics too, but sometimes I think I will never reach that level of expertise with the limited camera I own. A shot like this says- just keep your eyes open. There's lots of fun things to photograph on the run. It's a good balance between those insightful posts you usually do and a little snapshot of your daily life.
March 3rd, 2011
HA HA! That's right, never let an opportunity pass by, and I agree with Ann LeFevre--keep our eyes open.
March 3rd, 2011
I really like the different "white" shades you captured.
March 3rd, 2011
Thank the Lord the church was not on fire.'good shot.
March 3rd, 2011
:) And a great opportunity it was! I hear you on time, and I think we all run into that occasionally.
March 3rd, 2011
The light blue sky against the light building are great complementary colors. Plus my son loves any picture with a truck in it. Maybe when the weather turns we will take pictures of trucks just for him. See you inspired me today with your picture!

That's a huge Church! Glad it's on fire in a different way :-)
