It was a beautiful drive in to work this morning. The rain stopped earleir than predicted, and the flood waters subsided nicely in some areas, though others were still in flood stages. The air had a nice fresh smell to it. I tried going one route this morning because I wanted to get some photos of the one creek that I know always goes over its banks, but the road was closed. I had to back track a bit, but once I came upon this scene I was well satisfied with the detour. The creek was over its bank and into the field, and I couldn't believe this beautiful scene waiting for me. There was just enough light to paint a beautiful photo. Going out for supper tonight. Have a great weekend everyone. Will be back later to catch up on my comments. Continuing to pray for all those affected by the earthquake in Japan.
Sometimes the detours are totally worth it! You wouldn't have seen God's handiwork here, if you'd gone the other way. I was on my way to a friend's house, but two roads had flooded, so I ended up back home. I think it was meant to be. Beautiful shot Rick.
Wow...what a Beautiful Photo. Love how clear that Reflections are. I can't believe the amount of horrible things that have occurred so far in 2011 and we are only 3 months in. Just crazy....Thinking of all in Japan.
@meredithwb Meredit, there is actaully a fence in the background, in the distance. I actually took this from my side window, just stopping along the roadway. It is quiet on that country stretch in the morning.
We always end up where we need to be. What we do when we are there indicates our worth. As this loving/haunting photograph shows, you were where you were suppose to be and you are a wonderful photographer. A new fav and a new follower. :-)
