Nature's Simple Things by digitalrn

Nature's Simple Things

I have enjoyed watching this tree for the past several years. I pass it almost daily as I travel this country road. It does not appear to be getting any larger, so I am convinced it is some kind of dwarf tree. It changes with the seasons, and I think it is positioned perfectly in this country setting, overlooking the country side. I posted a photo of this same tree back in January when it was snow covered, and now the colors are once again beginning to appear. As you can see the fields are becoming green, and it is casting a nice shadow from the afternoon sun. I just love the quiet country feel to this.
I tried posting the link to the other photo but for some reason it would not work. If you feel so compelled, you can look back through my January calendar for the previous post.
Beautiful! I love the composition

Lovely shot, love the dirt road going up the hill

Love the whole scene, and colors too. It looks like a 'little king' birch, they are very slow growing, and tent to be more ornamental.

Beautiful tree and shot. I am jealous that you have green already. I am not complaining though, the snow is gone. :)

@myla Thank you Myla. I was wondering if it was some kind of birch, and that would explain why it is taking so long to grow.

Beautiful tree, Rick! I have a cherry tree in my yard that hasn't grown at all in the 19 years since I planted it, making me think the same thing. The green grass and blue sky made me happy.
