I'm still limited in my ability to take photos, but I was able to get a bug's eye view of the ever so rapidly growing grass in our back yard, and some fine little blue / purple flowers that are pushing their way up through the grass. It looks like my Wife may need to mow the grass before week's end. She's been good to me, offering me assistance with the buttoning of my shirts, pants, and all the other stuff you cannot manage with one hand. It gives you a new sense of appreciation for those who must make permanent adjustments for things like this due to serious injuries or other disability. Oh the joys of getting older. I really dislike depending on others to meet my needs, but I am having a little fun teasing my Wife as she does these little things for me. I am milking it all the way, asking her to drive, help me with my coat, cutting my food, but really, I know she doesn't mind. I would do the same for her. It's great knowing you've found a perfect match as your soulmate. Hope you all have a great Saturday night.
Very pretty photo Rick. Love that little contrast of the flower among the greenery. I hope your wife has lots of patience cause I think she is going to need it. It has to be frustrating for you and the healing is going to take a while. God bless both of you.
WOW! This is great, so glad your able to pick up the camera and shot something. So glad your doing well. You have a wonderful wife!!! And she will know when you start milking it lol :-)
This is so pretty and such a perfect spring picture. Even handicapped you are a pro. My world is so gray and dismal, that this is such a welcome sight.
A bit of spring - lovely. Waiting patiently here - still lots of snow - we won't be mowing the grass for another two months.
In sickness and in health. What a blessing to have such a mate for life.
It's so nice to be loved and cared for, isn't it. I know how you feel though - it's frustrating not to be able to do things yourself. It does make you think about those that will never be able to manage on their own. This is one gorgous shot!
Great shot!
We had a great Saturday night thanks Rick!
I know the frustration of being one -handed 3 years ago. It's amazing what you can't do :) I had to have help fro Lynda & Bernie for months :)
That is very nce when you say
"soulmate" it is so good to hear that from friends. Your photo is very delicate and the Details are great and the little flower just added the perfect touch! Happy Sunday and be nice to your wife, hahahahahah
Sounds like you have a good wife there, Rick! I really hate people looking after me too but sometimes, you have to. When I sprained my ankle I was in agony--not from the pain so much, but from having to ask for help all the time.
And you're a trooper for taking a photo one-handed too. Take your time to heal.
it's amazing how interesting other's ways of living can be isn't it? glad you've got someone to help you. we are currently without water in our kitchen due to remodeling. makes me appreciate the life we have versus those we have no running water.
