Doors Of Life

Through Doors In Life We All Must Go
Where They Lead, We May Not Know...

Each Day, A New Door
Providing Hope For Success
The Possibility Of Failure
But An Opportunity To Learn

Great shot!!! I like the poem!!

Nice shot! I love the keyhole. It reminds my of my grandparents’ houses.
March 28th, 2011
Wonderful words of wisdom, and an equally wonderful image to go with them.
March 28th, 2011
Ditto @kerristephens ! Fantastic angle leaves the keyhole ever-so-subtle!
How's the hand?
March 28th, 2011
Very cool! I like the shadows, and they give mystery, just like life. Nicely captioned too.
March 28th, 2011
Rick, you're so profound! Really nice shot as well!
March 28th, 2011
Wondrful words and picture. I like the shadow!
March 28th, 2011
Great words of wisdom and photo to go with.

@rhoing Thom, the hand is coming along I guess. It will be wrapped tight until Friday, so movement is not much of an option, though depending on how I turn my hand, it all but takes me to the floor. I will most likely start therapy next week. Fun :) Thanks for asking.
March 28th, 2011
Nice atmospheric shot!
March 28th, 2011
Great mood. Hey Rick, have you read Blue Like Jazz: Nonreligious Thoughts on Chrisian Spirituality by Donald Miller? I discovered him when I bought an audiobook for our long car ride to Florida That introduction to his writing, A Million Miles in a Thousand Years: How I Learned to Live a Better Story, led me to several more of his works and i am definitely hooked. I think you would like them.
March 28th, 2011
@digitalrn Getting old isn't for sissies! I finally had foot surgery last summer for an arthritis issue: I know exactly what you mean by "all but takes me to the floor." Hopefully your hand will adjust to whatever was "done to it"!
March 28th, 2011

March 28th, 2011
@allie912 Allison, I have not heard of him, but now will check it out on amazon. I will need some audio books to listen to. Thanks.

March 28th, 2011

March 28th, 2011
Oh, Rick...I want to open this door to see the future.......but it kind of scares me at the same time. Well done!
March 28th, 2011
Rick, I was talking to Allison about those same books the other day at school. I'm also planning to get them as what she told me sounded like I would enjoy them...but first I need to finish the 3rd book of the Hunger Games series...a page turner...as were the first 2 also.
March 28th, 2011
Great shot...It does invite opportunity! Did you know people actually collect the keyhole plates?
March 28th, 2011

Great shot and poem!
March 28th, 2011
You are good! Great words. I took the same picture of my doorknob except I didn't post it because it was a shiny doorknob and reflected my messy room :) It was like a rounded mirror image. I suppose I should just straighten the room and try again...

I am very much liking the poem to go with this photo. It makes me tense in anticipation wondering what is on the other side of the door now.
March 28th, 2011
Love the pic and the words... so true

It looks huge from the perspective you took it and just goes so well with your words.

March 30th, 2011
Fabulous shot.....I wish I had your talent for creating photo ops! I could walk around my house for weeks and never be able to find anything to take a picture of. You really have an immense creative streak!
March 30th, 2011
Sooo good!
March 30th, 2011
Beautiful shot and caption. Alfred Hitchcock said nothing is as scary as a closed door, and this is so true, rather in a movie or a change in our lives.
March 31st, 2011
love that old door knob.
March 31st, 2011
love the caption and the shot!
