In reference to numbers, probably some of the most important ones are those associated with your blood pressure. This neat gadget, a sphygmomanometer, or more commonly referred to as a blood pressure cuff, is used to measure your body's blood pressure. Your blood pressure is measured by obtaining a set of two numbers. The upper number, systolic, measures the pressure while your heart is beating. The lower number, diastolic, measures the pressure when your heart is resting between beats. A normal blood pressure would be somewhere around 120/80. It is recommended that you have your blood pressure checked regularly as we get older, and especially if high blood pressure is common in your family. Do not ignore this important health check-up. My blood pressure today was 126/76. Do you know what your blood pressure is? Have a great day.
Very familiar with this tool. My mom has been a Pediatric nurse for the last 25 years. Great theme shot. If I hadn't been in so much pain last night, I could have told you what mine was. But I was pretty groggy with pain meds and only remember them telling me it was low.
This is just the right picture for you and your profession, Rick. I'm impressed that you can spell sphygmomanometer! (I just copied and pasted from your caption!) I'm happy to say at my last check up my blood pressure was 110/70.
another great shot for the numbers theme, and thanks, I didn't know what those numbers represented but always wondered, now I know...ah, but I don't know my pressure, thanks for the reminder.
Nice shot Rick, I like the great detail you got of the numbers. The information is also very welcome. I did not know about the resting number against the beating number. I find that very interesting as I never knew what they meant before.
You are not back at work are you? Nice clear photo.
Mine is about 95/60 last time I checked. As a result I never get up too quickly when squatting down. :)

Hope your hand is healing ...
It is usually lower, I took it straight after my morning walk :)
