Well, we had a break in the rain, at least until tomorrow, so since our Son was home today, we volunteered his services ( actually my Wife has a way of convincing him) He works long hours, typically leaves home at 4pm to start at 5pm, and then gets home about 6:30am. Sunday through Thursday. Sleeps all day till about 3pm then up and does it all over again. He willingly (well almost, LOL) No he really didn't mind. He even trimmed without our request. As youcan see, the grass has been growing like wild. The puppies, being the little midgets they are, hate the tall grass, so I must say, they are pleased with the newly trimmed lawn. I am uploading a bit early tonight. The Grand-daughter is coming over, and then we will treat the Son, and the Grand-daughter to a nice buffet meal at Golden Coral. The weekend is upon us. Hope you all enjoy it, and perhaps with the predicted rain, we will get some rest.
What a trippy effect! I like it because it's like the Toro is moving. So cool! That is great that your son happily helps you out. You did a good job with him. Enjoy your dinner with your family!
YUM... food... I don't want to cook right now. I love the zoom effect it's like the engine is reving so fast that it's just shaking the grass. Have a great night out with the family! Oh, and thank you so much for the compliment.
well, i think your photo here is great, and I agree you have made it a piece of art. I am not really ready to see the mower yet! LOL. I think I have at least a couple more weeks before I have to deal with mowing. I need a new one though, and I will bet, that the chore wont really be a chore once I get the new one! I can get back to enjoying the yard work!
Not sure how you managed to make your mower looks so cool hand ready...but you did and I swear it is moving! Been mowing for a bit - I mow our lawn twice a week during the Spring.
Great shot and I can not believe that grass! It makes me want to take a photo of our lawn just to make you laugh. Uh, not like yours. I know you will enjoy your granddaughter as much as we do this weekend. It's kind of the best thing ever, isn't it?
What a beautiful lush green lawn! Ours is still brown but it's been raining a little and perhaps it will be green soon. Even if we get the snow predicted for tonight it will melt to water the lawn hopefully. In other words, I wish we had that grass to mow :) Though, by the end of summer I'll be wishing for snow I suppose.
Great shot! Your processing helps me hear the mowers engine and to sense its eagerness to cut grass. I would like to borrow any one's son to mow my lawn who does not want to charge me $40. LOL
Sure is nice to have willing family in the neighborhood! I'm catching up with comments as I sit in Atlanta airport waiting for the last leg of my trip home to Richmond. I hope to look at everyone's pictures from this week once I'm settled at home.
it takes 1 million clicks to get to the end of your comments section (just saying). anyway they said it all. love the zoom blur. gives the impression the mower is ready for action
Love the processing of this shot, Rick! (I want to try this with my scooter ... missing a shot from my "first day" this year on March 1st!)
And, thank you so much for taking the time to look through and comment on every one of my black-and-white series! I've been somewhat less than inspired lately, but realized my energy was being directed elsewhere! I loved doing this project with my students ....
Great photo. Our grass is going to need to be cut this week and then the fun begins for the rest of the season. Glad the puppies can now run free in the yard.
Since we downsized to a townhome where the HOA takes care of the small yards we have out in front, my husband does not miss the lawn mowing AT ALL. This is a great photo of the beast! haha Kudos to your son for helping!
Here is my facebook page where I am documenting the evolution of my yard (habitat).

We have rain predicted too. I hope you have a nice restful weekend.
How's the hand?
