Well the day did not start out too well. It rained all the way in to work, fortunately when I parked my car it stopped long enough for me to get inside before the next downpour. An hour into the day we had a severe weather alert, tornado warning so we went into alert and had to go through our emergency procedures. A tornado reportedly spotted about 15 miles away, doing damage, and then in a few minutes they downgraded to severe thunderstorm warnings. The rest of the day was back to normal. On the way home tonight the sky was filled with beautiful clouds, quite dramatic looking, and I grabbed this shot of a farm, as I liked how it sits on the hillside. The next few days are supposed to be better. Tis the season for unpredictable weather. Hope you all have a great night.
Dramatic indeed esp in B&W - heard on the news about the severe weather in the US & over a hundred people got killed - glad to know you're OK & the weather is fining up.
VERY nice Rick!! i love the darkness of this and how you processed it! it looks like a beautiful farm! i am glad to hear nothing too serious happened today and that tomorrow is a better one :)
This farm is gorgeous, Rick! Black and white was definitely the way to go. It makes the photo so atmospheric and a perfect representation of your day. Glad you and yours are okay. Tornados scare me to pieces.
Love the barn in B&W, hope all is well. We've been getting tornado warnings on and off as well. Today was nice though. Our hideout is in the pantry...never thought hiding with the crackers was a safe thing to do, lol
What a beautiful barn and a beautiful picture of it. It's the kind of picture that could go either way- color or b&w. I like it in the b&w- sort of accents the calm farm in contrast with your stormy day. So glad everyone is safe. It sure has been a crazy Spring. Praying the Lord will continue to keep you and your residents safe from harm's way.
b&w was definitely the way to go on this shot! i could see it framed on someone's mantle. isn't the weather horrible lately? glad to know that your community is safe.
This is a beautiful calm image considering how stormy it was. ***one would think Ice Cream would work-- and it certainly worked on the kids, but seeing their faces was what was working most for me.***
Fabulous capture Rick, especially nice when enlarged. B/w is perfect for this one! Glad the tornado warning was downgraded....the weather has been so scary this spring.
I hear on the news tonight there were some destructive tornados in the USA & many were killed - how sad!
