Peace Beyond The Chaos by digitalrn

Peace Beyond The Chaos

As I was leaving work this afternoon, the sun was barely shining through the cloud cover, and as I looked up through the trees, I couldn't help think how chaotic it all looked, and then I thought of all the chaos this time of the year can bring into our lives. Christmas can and should be a very joyous time of the year, but in spite of all our efforts to stay focused on its true meaning, I think many of us, myself included, get caught up in the busy schedules, the holiday sales, spending way too much money on things we really do not need, and then we lose sight of what it's all about. Then when it's all said and done, we must find a way to refocus on why we celebrate this time of the year in the first place. So the branches in this photo represent all the chaos in our lives as we wind down during this last week before the big day, and then the soft, calm colored clouds in the background can represent the peace that awaits us if we take the time to focus on this holiday's true meaning. I'm not sure what Christmas means to you, but regardless, I hope that you can find some time during this holiday season to enjoy your family and friends, the love shared in those relationships. May this be a special time for you and your family.
Beautiful sentiment and photo. I agree with you.

Beautifully done and said, Rick. We try so hard and then the commercialism creeps in and takes over. Thats why I love following your Christmas story photos . . great reminders for us to pull back. And this photo is another one that makes me pause . . and remember.

very well said Rick...It reminds me of the people who suffered the aftermath of the typhoon that hit a town 100 km away from ours. There are a lot of loss and suffering right now, it is hard to keep a very happy attitude knowing the facts of life, thankful at the same time that all my friends and love ones have been spared by the devastation.

Love the picture and the sentiment. Having the granddaughters has helped me to slow down and to see things through a child's eye.

So true. I found myself simplifying everything this year and just keeping all the things that needed to be done within the realm of sanity. Christmas is really about Christ and His birth- and whatever I do, it should emphasize that- so it has definitely been a pleasant season this year. Lovely picture and symbol Rick. Well said!!

Beautiful photo Rick, and beautiful sentiments to go with. I agree with you about the chaos too, it's all too easy to get sucked in sometimes. But we should be joyful, and share that with others.

@sunnygreenwood Anne, that is very poignant, and I hope you don't feel too sad! Hopefully the grandbabies will come around and bring lots of joy to your beautiful heart! Hugs, : )
