Christmas By The Hearth by digitalrn

Christmas By The Hearth

We visited a friend's house Thursday after work. For the past twelve years or so, she has been setting her house a glow with Christmas trees, and other decorations for the holiday. She typically sets up about 40 Christmas trees of all sizes throughout her home, and then opens her home for Christmas tours. Several years ago she worked for me as a nursing assistant, and now she volunteers for my Wife, visiting residents who are on hospice. I knew she always decorated her house, but until we actually went to her home and witnessed it with our own eyes, we never realized how huge of an undertaking it is. Every room, I mean every room, even every bathrooms in her home is decorated with trees, and other items. An amazing winter wonderland with various themes throughout. An amazing witness of her love for what Christmas is all about. Hopefully I will be doing a photo shoot there in the next week or so. This is just a very small sample of what she does. If I do the shoot I will share more.

I've heard of some people having more than one Christmas tree. also some people keep them up all year..I always feel said when all the decorations are stored away..it's something of a let down..I wish we could keep the Christmas spirit with us all your around.

Very pretty! I'd be enjoying the fire and the next thing you know, I'd be dreaming of a white Christmas! A lady in our church used to do that as well. This is the first year she hasn't set them all up due to moving to a smaller home. It is a huge undertaking- and a labor of love. Beautiful shot Rick!

That's awesome! My sister has done the same thing. Recently her and her husband downsized their home but she has a real knack for decorating. I admire those who have the time to put into it and the storage for al the stuff.
