Village fire: photographers with drones delay rescue helicopters

A fire in a village in Western Norway has destroyed more than 30 houses, some of them on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Police are criticizing the media for using drones to photograph and shoot video from the fire. This is delaying rescue helicopters.

could a drone really bring down a helicopter though?
I'd think they could just fly through them.

I saw this article earlier and thought it wouldn't make for happiness. I hadn't realized that the media were actually using drones to take photos - really hope that stops, and doesn't catch on.

@aponi - if a rotor blade hits anything that puts it out of balance ... which doesn't take much on non military 'copters ... it will come down. or if it is a jet 'copter, it can suck a drone into the engine intake ...
