The Ukraine

The Atlantic has got some photographs from the recent uprising in the Ukraine. I will warn you that some of them are graphic and less than pleasant.

Although they are graphic, they really show the horror of what these people have been through and are still going through. Makes me think a bad day for me will never be as bad as this!!!! Thanks for sharing Paul.

Oh gosh! In 2001 I visited a friend in Kiev during their 10th Anniversary of Independence....these photos show just how devastating it is! Thanks for sharing though.

This is a story I've been following closely. This and other pictures of conflicts I've seen recently have really given me a lot to think about with the power of photography. The picture of the protester and the high ranking police officer talking face to face was particularly powerful to me. The look on that guy's face says 1000 words.

You have to admire those that record these events. The pictures are both compelling and confronting. Thanks for sharing that with us. It make me appreciate living in Adelaide Australia. We occasionally complain its a sleepy hollow but that is a good thing sometimes...

Powerful stuff indeed, much more graphic than I have seen up to this point. Beyond demonstration... almost civil war
