Good stuff. I have done this a couple times, and it is scary. The craziest I ever did was a decaying rollercoaster from my old home town in a very old amusement park that closed in 1979, and nothing was gutted until 5/09.
well I used to be more into UE a few years ago but not as much anymore unfortunately.
I think the craziest place I've ever gone was the castle on the hill (aka the Physical Culture Hotel) in Dansville NY. It was this magnificent building and the premise (long story short) was that it was a health "hotel" where the guests just focused on exercise, good food and just...being healthy and good.
28 Days Later ( http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/ ) was always, as far as i knew, *the* resource for such urban exploration issues. More the 'how to get in and out safely and not get arrested' aspect, than the 'what lens to take' part, mind. I remember there was a time when it closed but, apparently, it's back up!
It's probably well worth flicking through, even though it's UK-centric.
I'd really love to get into urban exploration, unfortunately I don't have the transport (and a lot of the places around here are riddled with damp so it makes exploring interesting)

That's one of the few photos I have of the place

I've always gone to www.uer.ca , mostly because it's more North American based and also because a few of my friends are on there

I debated going out today but weather wasn't in my favour
One photo this week will hopefully be a UE photo. We'll see
