So what do you think?

Thought I would try something new. Please forgive my cheap lens. I am now seriously aggravated with what little I have to work with. Going to start saving up for a high quality super wide angle lens...... Hopefully......

I think it is great. I love that you thought "outside the box" with this.

It's very sharp and has good depth of field, along with dimensional tones. As they say, "work with what ya got". I have an Ultra Wide and haven't used it since last May. They have their place, but not all the time.

Btw, I had my daughter hold up a black pillowcase behind the lamp and she was very patient. Then she got into it and started instructing me. LOL! Originally there were white shades behind the lamp but white on white doesn't give the picture much contrast. This was the only picture where the pillowcase actually doesn't look like a pillowcase.

Great idea with the pillowcase! I was wondering about that!

i really like it minus what ever that is in the lightbulb. nice contrast. don't make a superwide lens your first lens purchase, like chris said, you will hardly use it. you want a portrait length lens as you seem to take alot of your kids, you will have that lens on your camera all most all the time.

the something-a-rather in the lamp is a dead ladybug. Not you typical ladybug picture but I thought I would do something different, even if it was a bit morbid.
