I have been very fortunate to have one photo adventure to look forward to after another lately and now I am getting excited about the Great Reno Balloon Race in September. I got to see it once as a happy accident and have been hoping to get back on purpose for years now.
It is going on September 10-12 in Reno, NV and I am thrilled to be going this year! I have requested the day off from work on the 10th and am thinking about heading into Reno after work on the 9th to give myself some extra time. I am really looking forward to Dawn Patrol and seeing all of the amazing balloons. Are any of my fellow 365ers coming? This might be a fun meet!
It is every year on the weekend following Labor Day weekend in September. It should also be noted that this event is free and open to the public! The event is free thanks to the help of sponsers but sponsership has been a little tight this year so they are looking for donations this year, too. I hope the event will continue to be free. It is pretty spectacular!
