I think my camera may be toast. It won't turn on, no matter how fresh the battery is...the battery charger seems to be working fine too. Does anyone have any advice or been in this situation? The kicker is, since it's a Sony and has dumb proprietary memory cards, my card reader doesn't work with it or the adapter! So, if anyone is wondering where my photos are from 8/13/10 and on...they're on the stupid card. :/
Ahh, I hate when that happens. Quick tip, bring your dead camera and a usb key/drive to a photo-store. When you explain it to them, they are often quite willing to help you out transfer your photos out of your dead camera. They should have all kinds of card-readers there.

It is a truly fantastic camera for its age and sadly its no longer made, however this does mean if you can find one on ebay you only have to pay around £40 for it.
Hope this help's and if you still dont have a camera sorted by the time I get a new one I will sell you mine :)
