Another Chicago Meet-up! - Friday, Sept. 17th

August 23rd, 2010
Hi all - Once again, the Chicago contingent is going to plan on meeting for Sangria, Margheritas, Nachos...no wait, how did food get in there? Anyway, since four of us (Chimom, Kerri26, CatherineL and myself) work in the same office building in Chicago's Loop, we plan on meeting up in our lobby again and heading over to Salseria in the Willis (Sears) Tower. Also, once again, Louise and Ken will be back in town and Louise (and maybe Ken?) will be joining us along with perhaps one or both(?) of her daughters, Heather and Ashley. More info will follow, but wanted to get this message out ASAP so that those who live or work further away can make plans for getting to the city in time for the gathering. It's a lot fun! Check out our last gathering in May: http://365project.org/Swazzette/365/2010-05-10

Hope you Chicago-area folks (or any midwesterners?) can join us. We'll just need to know a bit ahead of time how many so that we can alert the restaurant. Check back for more details soon! Thanks! - Sue

Oh man!!! I so wish I could be there! If money were not as big a concern right now, I would definitely be there!!!

OOh, that sounds fun! I see no reason I won't be in attendance. I'll double check the calender and let you know :)

I'm relying on Heather to be my ride, so we'll make sure it comes together! Thanks, Sue, and looking forward to seeing the Chicago contingent!

Do I recall that Loni needed a heads up last time around in order to join us? Loni?
August 24th, 2010
Yes, I remembered that, too, and I left a comment about the Meet-up on Loni's page this afternoon.

NNNNOOOOO! It's my son's birthday :-( I can't leave town on his birthday :-( I mean, he's 22, but we always traditionally have dinner on the kid's birthdays. I'm going to have to give this some serious thought....

Thanks so much for thinking of me!

Yay! Rebecca Mis has checked in and is pretty sure that she'll be able to make it.

Hey, saw your comment on my photo, and yeah I should be able to make it. I'm assuming the general time here is after work?

awee :( !!! I wish I could meet up. I work 2nds at my job and currently due to staffing I am the only person working on my shift M-F. It is very hard for me to get time off during the week and I am off only on weekend unless I am on-call. Gotta love the medical field. It would have loved to meet everyone since you all are so inspiring with everyones amazing photography! *sad face*

Thanks for the invite Sue, unfortunately, I will be in NY then. If anything is planned again, I would certainly be interested.

Hooray for another meetup! :D I will absolutely be there. I can't wait to see everyone again, and to meet eveyone else who comes.

Wow! Can our Chicago Meet-up be here already! Yep, it's still on for this Friday night, Sept. 17th and unless you see an updated time here...we're now shooting for meeting at 6:00pm. There has been a change in venue, though, and the new location will now be at O'Shaughnessy's Public House in the Ravenwood area on the north side.

This fun Irish pub is located at 4557 N. Ravenswood (on the corner of Ravenswood and Sunnyside). If you're taking the Metra train, you would take the Union Pacific/North Line, get off at the Ravenswood stop and then it's only one and half blocks south. http://www.oshaughnessychicago.com/

Looking forward to a fun evening of drinking, dining, dishing and, of course, shooting lots of photos!

Sorry - the location for Friday is on the corner of Ravenswood and WILSON Ave. - NOT Sunnyside.

Argh, I can't make it! I am wildly disappointed that I can't be there, but perhaps we can have another meetup in the next few months. Take lots of photos and have a great time!

Ken said that since it's in the neighborhood, he's looking forward to coming in for awhile. Sorry some can't make it, but looking forward to the chatty few who can! Looking forward to meeting you, too, Steve. Rebecca, really sorry you can't be there. Maybe we can do this again next month!
