xxx 'mentioned you in a comment'

Out of interest, how many people actually look at these?

Personally, I keep check of my photo comments by email and as these 'mentionneds' don't pop up in my e-mail, I often miss them!

This is in no way a criticism, if I was really bothered, I would check my notifications tab more often, I was just wondering how many people check every 'mentionned' notificatoin?

I do! I follow a fair number of people, so it's nice to have a way to know if someone has asked me a question or followed up on a comment I left them without having to go back to the photos to check blindly. I think it makes it so much easier to interact with others on this site!

i check them, i don't use email notifications because it's annoying deleting them all

I check them for the most part, but when they're few and far between and I have too many notifications from someone posting in a thread I've made, they tend to slip between the cracks.

I use the email notifications for comments because that way I don't have to click the links to see which photo they've commented on which annoys me somewhat. I do check for comments I've been mentioned in though.

I check every day. Multiple times. Which is sad, really, because I don't get a whole lot of comments. Wishful thinking, I guess. I think it's a great feature. :)

I am enjoying the "mentioned" info. It's nice that it keeps a running list all in one place. Don't have to sort emails to follow up on them.

I do, when the feature was introduced I turned email notification off & now just use the new tab. I think it's great! I suspect that before, most replies people left in their own comments lists would rarely have been seen by the person they were intended for! It made more sense to leave the reply comment in that person's own account.
