Question from a newcomer

February 2nd, 2010
I have a question that's a variation on the age-old dilemma - if I post a picture on 365 Project and nobody knows it's there, have I really posted? (LOL)

I posted my first picture today and I was curious to find out - how do members know when there's a new member on board? I figured my picture would show up if I browsed the postings for today, but it's not there.

Welcome aboard Judy!

Your picture will immediately post in the latest section.
As for browsing the "Day" section, I would check on the last page, after you post, and work from there

You may have trouble finding pics sometimes because, unfortunately, some people treat this space as a Flickr page and post 30 pictures of their cat each day! Oh the joys of ace membership where you can happily ignore the spirit of the project!

Ok I may just be ranting about one or two people in particular :) but in all seriousness, just keep posting and following people whose pics you like and it will all come together.

Happy snapping!

I'm glad you say this Richard, thought it was just me being pedantic (right word??) I thought the point of this space was to record a picture each day to reflect your day in some way, in some way capture the day and have it as a reminder when looking back. And as you say, suddenly there are cats dogs and babies every day. On the other hand maybe that is peoples lives...

Vaibhav - I'm pretty sure you can't fav your own photos.
Cherrill - not everyone is here to record their year, I'm doing it as a way to use my camera everyday, not necessarily use it as a photo journal. I'm sure other people have other reasons for doing the project as well.

Whether it's taking a picture of yourself everyday or your pet, or using the project as a photojournal of your life, or even something beyond these themes, everyone has their own reason for doing their project. Many people have even stated what their intention for their project is on their information page. Now let's play nice and not criticize other peoples and their motivations for doing their 365 project.
