Good site to order 365 albums?

December 4th, 2010
Hello. As the 2010 year is coming to an end, so is my first ever 365 project.
I was wondering if there's a website that allows me to create my own album and customize each page with a picture & caption.
If you've used a site for something similiar before, or have heard of one, please share!

I use blogger and picasa both google products and free... you could make a blog for each day an embed a photo for each... you could sort by theme, ect...

I don't want to blog it. I want a site that will allow me to create an actual photo album, one that I can hold in my hands and flip through the pages.

Have you looked at Vistaprint? I know they do photo flip books which might be the sort of thing you are looking for.

Shutterfly does very good photo books with many different layouts and options. I have printed several with them and I am happy with the quality ;-)

I've gotten books from Shutterfly too, they usually have sales and member discounts going on if you sign up for the emails. They're also really good because if you get your book and there's anything wrong with it at all they'll send you a new one, no questions asked. I had a bubble in the binding once and it wasn't a big deal, but I wanted my book perfect. I emailed them and next thing you know they're sending me a new one!

It depends where you are but in Australia there are so many places to do this. i personally have ordered an album from "Snapfish" online and it comes in the form of a book. It is just beautiful and was able to be ordered in different sizes. Stores like Target & KMart in Aus do them too though I haven't personally used them. i know there are other online printers. I would google.

But do these places have software to easily allow you to put the description of the day or would you have to create an image with this in it?

Exactly my question, Weng. It'd be awful and tiring to have to upload and organize 365 pictures to another site.

ok i've just signed up and had a play around. From the looks of it, it'll very easily fit the Date, image and description and its quite easy to use. Here's an example of what it looks like (yeah, I took a screen grab)

Now the probelm is there seems to be a maximum of 101 images. You could always stick one week to a page but then you'd have no space for the description. Id like to do one book for the whole year or even one for half the year, but even that's 180 pages. So for me, 101 pages means i'd have to do 4 books - quarters which is not something I want to do. I'm going to have to keep looking but for me, shutterfly isnt usable :(
