So do any of you guys have a twitter? I finally decided to make an account because it seems like all of my friends have one...
what are your guys's opinions on twitter? do you like it a lot or do you find it slightly stupid? I used to have a twitter but quit because I didnt get the point of it... now I'm trying it out again just for the heck of it lol because evidentally "tweeting is cool" ;)

I freaking love twitter so much, xD I tweet all the time and 365 has a twitter too so I get updates about blogs and voting there. it's AMAZING.
I have more than 1,500 tweets, and I just tweet randomly. idk, I think it's awesome. but I've been tweeting for years now, so perhaps I'm a bit bias.

I'm @eyebrows360 and yeah I'm a fan of twitter. There's plenty of sorts who do use it in that stereotypical oft-mocked self-centered self-important style, but I don't know any, so it's all good. Lots of very interesting people use it, so it can be a good source of humour, or useful info, or just keeping up with certain internet chums, or anything, basically. It's certainly more interesting than facebook, but then they're totally different things, really.
I did Twitter, but after awhile, it kind of seemed dumb. Nobody really cared what everyone else had to say (unless they were famous, I guess). Equivalent to standing in a crowded room, screaming random things and having 1000 people ignore you. I can do that at any crowded shopping mall and spare my fingers the exercise, lol.
I've had a Twitter account for a while, and seldom use it. I can't remember when my last post was. I tried to embrace it, but the whole thing was lost on me. I tend to visit my facebook page more frequently. http://twitter.com/#!/JeffGoodridge

@clarissajohal - hahahha that's exactly how I feel sometimes!! perfectly put. made me laugh to because I had never thought of it that way. I think tweeting just becomes more of a habit for a lot of people ... I'm gonna see how it goes for me a second time but I do see where you are coming from ;)
@eyebrows - I feel like facebook statuses are similar to tweeting... btu that the two sites are, like you said, totally different things... twitter has never appealed to me as much as facebook just because you cant add picture and stuff like that... its like a simplified version of facebook lol
I tweet and love twitter - there's a few people who I follow who are absolutely hilarious, (and I count @eyebrows360 in that description) but I recently deleted my tweets and made my account private, for a variety of reasons. It hasn't put me off the medium though.
Apparently the majority of people on twitter never tweet themselves, but just follow other people. Often it's way ahead of the news reports, so I find it's good for that too.
Never had,and never will have.Never even checked out the website.I really don`t see the point of it.And I`m sure it would only get me depressed.So..never.

It really is ahead of the game when it comes to news (and not just celeb. news, like world news. I found out about the whole North/South Korea missile thing via Twitter, even MJ's death!)
Personally, twitter puts me in touch with a lot of people I otherwise wouldn't talk to. It's a whole different community on twitter compared to facebook.
And it's a lot less exposure (in terms of like, how with facebook people can creep on you whenever you want. 90% of people have some next 2000 friends, 80% of which they don't even know).
It's difficult to explain, but all in all, I like twitter because I talk to a lot of people I normally wouldn't and I honestly spend more time on twitter than facebook. And people who tweet are a lot more real than people on facebook (if you know what I mean, it's difficult to explain)
Just beware of the people who over tweet (and I do sometimes, my apologies hehe).
@artistmichelle haha yeah it seems there's a load of twitter account holders that use it for hmmm shall i say celebrety stalking ?? haha. me included ;)) but some of them are just so darned funny. i think i tweet maybe once every couple of months, but read it many times each day. its just that no one i know uses it for actual tweeting, and most are on facebook anyhow :))

Oh also - a phrase that sums up the difference nicely is "Facebook's the network of people you went to school with, Twitter's the network of people you wish you went to school with".
Not sure why I'm listed at 309 tweets though, there's at least 3000 in there somewhere... good job I backed them up! :P

I joined up to promote my B&B. I was dragged to my friend's office kicking and screaming not wanting to do that time-wastin thing. he just got me on and I was like "yearh, yeah, ut I'll never use it". Like you, I got a little hooked, tweeted losts and curious at first but that has died down when I joined 365, which is my current addiction - ha! If you are busy and you are doing this and Face Book, not sure about the point of Twitter I'd probably drop the latter. FaceBook is with known people many of them very good old friends and I have learnt stuff I never knew and it has deepened connections. Twitter definitely do that. It can be very amusing but hasn't generated one client (I can't be arsed to be on there enough) so it is more just a social thing. I might get bored with it as lots of interesting news comes my way via Face Book. Sorry, way too much information.

( I have a facebook and I'm already addicted to 365... heck I even have a flickr but havnt updated that since last august... what makes me think I should tweet or even have the time to?) so I hardly ever "tweet" online... I signed up for tweet mobile so I can just txt my tweets from where ever I'm at! I like it that way :D
@maceugenio FB/Twitter definitely have their own worlds you know? But I get what your saying. When nothing's going on, on Twitter then I definitely favour FB hehe :P
I used to blog, but have little of interest to say, and little patience for that matter. I find that twitter suits me more as I get to write more frequently without boring people. I don't expect anyone to read my tweets, but it feels good to share my twisted perspective on life nevertheless :)

Eh ... I really don't care too much for Twitter. I blog, so I use it to let my followers know when there is a new post ... other than that, I really don't check it or use it much. I like Facebook. I get to write a lot more than just 140 (or is it 160) characters.
Also, when someone responds to me on Twitter -- I seldom know what they're responding to, since I'm not always on there. On Facebook, their response is under the topic or status they're responding to.
