I've just uploaded a picture using the email option. How do I retrieve it to add to my project? I can't find it anywhere!
I would so appreciate some help!
A few mins after emailing the picture, you should see a message saying, "You have uploads waiting to be organised, Click Here to organise them" in a yellow box at the top of your photostream. When you click on the link, you get to the same Organise page as regular uploads.
If you're not getting the message, you might want to check the size of the photos you are sending.
I've been emailing to my project for past fortnight, sometimes takes a few minutes or half hour! I always reduce photo size if given option, it's quicker then. Refresh to home page and you'll get the message to organise. Good luck!
oh god I'm being thick. Photostream or Homepage being....?
What exactly do I click on at the top of the page to get to either of those? The names are different.
I've clicked on everything I can think of including upload, and don't see the organise box.
Does it just stay for a short while or until I deal with it?
I'm using a desktop for this.
@humphreyhippo thanks. I wasn't sure what that page was called! But there is no yellow box. I might try once more. I'm uploading via Apple Photos and Apple Mail as I thought it might be quicker.
@joannapayne Assuming you've double-checked the email address is correct and matches the one on your upload page, it might be worth checking with @scrivna if he can see them being received.
I've been using the email upload feature for all my shots for the last 2 years, and I've never seen it take more than 5 minutes for my photo show up on the organize page.
If it's not making it, I'd try sending from a different email account.
I checked using the direct link. The email didn't make it. I've just done a test sending direct from Photos to my email account and that worked, so it can't be that.
Does it matter what you put in as the Subject of the email? I tried with and without.
I think I'd better check with Ross. @scrivna Can you help with this?
