I will shortly be returning to Australia for a few months to drive from Adelaide to Darwin, Kimberley, Pilbarra and down the West Coast to Perth. Would love to touch base with any 365ers living on this route.
dang East coast here - you won't see wild koalas on that route, but you will have a fantastic time and see some of the most spectacular places! enjoy :)
@koalagardens We spent ten months travelling FNQ and East coast and South coast, Great Ocean Road and across the Nullabor to WA last year. This trip is to finish off the "lap". We saw lots of wild koalas in the Great Otway - so gorgeous!
So pleased you included The Great Ocean Road and me in your last tour of Oz :) Adelaide is only 7 hours away for me!! You will love your next trip - now one idea - practice up on your night sky photography as the stars and milky way are soooo spectacular in the outback! Have fun and please keep me updated :)
@gilbertwood That's on our photo list, we tried last time in the Gawler Ranges but both had Bridge Cameras which weren't really ideal for night sky shots. This time Steve is bringing his DSLR so watch this space!!
@narayani That would be really good. We only have a couple of weeks in Pertfh, staying in Woodlands but would love to catch up if possible. We lived in Perth for 20 years so know the area quite well.
Aww -wonderful trip!! Karajini is my favourite place in Australia! We're on the East Coast unfortunately but would love to be doing those areas again. If you feel like having a bit of an expensive but fabulous side trip the day flight from Broome out to the Horizontal Waterfalls is a standout!! Cheers Rob
The timing should work well. We're planning a caravan trip with friends for 4 weeks from 12 May. Then on 16 July we're meeting our daughter, SiL and grandies in Bali for a week.
