July 23rd Weekly SH*T List

July 23rd, 2020
Welcome to the Weekly SH*T List, your handy-dandy go-to list to keep current on all things challenging. The name is the acronym of the words 'So Happy It's Thursday', (SH*T). Just as everyone understands that TGIF stands for 'Thank Goodness It's Friday', Thursday's acronym is not quite as polite but very effective. This list is usually posted early Thursday morning (EST), but will occasionally get posted later if there is something going on in my life.

For those who are not sure what the challenges listed below are all about, just click on the link and it will bring you right to the original post that has all the rules and information needed to enter. I have also spelled the acronym of any challenges in full for further clarity.

While the Weekly SH*T list only lists the ending date of the current challenges, please go through the discussion board to find challenges to be voted on. Voting can be just as important as participation and is generally the most fun and exciting part of the challenges.

Don’t forget to hit the link to check out the details of any challenges you are considering in case I may have messed up the dates or such.

Thank you, Annie @annied for continuing on with the Word of the Month! This challenge is a great place for those who occasionally lose their mojo and need ideas or inspiration. It is also a great challenge for those who want to go that extra nine yards to do a full month of words.

Please do not forget to check out these weekly features where you can highlight your work by posting your favourite shot of the week, do a Flashback, or highlight the work of another. They are easy, and fun to do.

Yer welcome!

so did the song title challenge die! I can't find mention of it anywhere!
July 30th, 2020
Katy - I checked back on that particular challenge and Kiwi was the host. I guess there was some mix-up on the tagging with some people using 'songtitle64' and some people using 'songtitle-64' with a hyphen.
Kiwi short-listed using just one tag. There was a discussion during the vote thread and everyone decided that Kiwi should short list using both tags, and set up another vote.
That was not done.
Kiwi has not posted since the end of May. She has been ill.
I don't mind setting up the vote using both tags now that I know what has happened but I believe the proper protocol is to ask the previous winner to host the vote.
I will look into that and see if s/he would be willing to do it.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention! Would hate to see that great challenge fall by the wayside!

Guess who the previous host was?
Your sister!

@grammyn My response to Wendy: Oh dear me! My brain was strained with trying to manage the one challenge and I am so sorry to learn that K1w1 is/was ill and I would be more than happy to decline any further effort to play host!! I am more than happy to have you host!! Unless you want to have the runner up be tagged? Your call!! And thanks!!!!

@wyomingsis @grammyn
No biggie. I will do the honours. No need to say who the previous host wsa - I will just say that I did it rather than let the challenge by the wayside.
Will do it this afternoon when it is raining here.

@farmreporter once again stepping up and confirming my already stated opinion of you as the best Wendy! I wasn't sure that I had not overlooked it somehow and knew you would have he answer
July 30th, 2020
That really is not a problem.
I usually just go back through the SH*T lists to find where the delinquent challenge was last seen to find out what has happened.
It's quite easy, actually.
I'm getting this week's SH*T list up now. It was foggy this morning to grab a photo - but did not get a decent one!
I love foggy mornings.

Well, now I am confused because I came across this:

Looks like K1w1 is taking care of the thing after all?
July 31st, 2020
So glad that you came across that before I posted the voting!
Yes - it does look as if she has taken care of it.
