@scrivna There's no way I really got 1,169 views today. Must be another bot on the loose, Ross. Would you prefer to be emailed with this sort of thing? Please advise.
Lucky you, I only have 3 views, i guess it's not interested in me!
I checked the logs and it didn't declare itself as a bot... which is why it has mistakenly counted it in the stats.
I had someone else reach out to me recently about the stats and i'm considering switching it to only counting logged-in members "views" - not sure on how well that would be received by the community though, view counts will definitely drop but at least it wont be "obviously wrong" when a bot comes through the site and isn't detected.
@Scrivna I probably don't understand most of what you said to start with and seldom look at the "viewed" stats anyway. I can't imagine why it would make such a difference, but then perhaps I am not very popular to start with as some other members
@Scrivna Thank you for checking on it, Ross. This may sound ridiculous, but if this is a community - why would folks object to logged-in members views vs. lurkers? Just my two cents worth and someone is going to disagree. LOL!
I started to disagree (with not counting lurkers), but after thinking about it a little, I’ve changed my mind. I have an Instagram account for getting my validation over “likes” , this is a more discerning group of peers.
i always assumed it was only views from members but thousands of views is pretty obviously not us!
but then how would we know there are bots?? what do bots do exactly?
is it AI scouring the site for images i wonder! @scrivna
I would prefer ALL views . People outside the community, friends and family read my 365 and I also give a link of their photo to the the " strangers " that I shoot on the street .

Any thoughts on that?
