Well done to Peter for winning last weeks theme of Humor (ok, who left the light on?). I got in touch with Peter and he has chosen Still life as our theme for the week.
To enter this weeks theme use the tag "theme-stilllife"
Entry to this theme starts on Monday (27th September) and will accept entries until Sunday night (23:59 GMT 4th October).
Entries must have been taken and uploaded this week only! Entries outside of the date range will not be accepted. You can enter up to 7 entries (one for each day of the week).
To view this weeks entrants, check out the tag theme-stilllife
Thanks Ross, it was difficult to come up with a theme that we hadn't used before, I liked the idea of a theme that could be tried by anyone and that you didn't even have to leave the house to do it!
It's a discipline that is hard to get to grips with, but one where the photographer controls everything, the arrangement of the objects and the light, etc.
I'm very excited about this theme- right up my alley! Hopefully I get some inspiration this week- wish this had been last week- I was very inspired to take these types of photos last week!
I've never manipulated my setting (much) before, so this will be a nice stretch for me.
In the link above, in "brief explanation" it said that there is a "story" in most still lifes. What does that mean? Can you elaborate? I haven't thought that most still life's have a big story, just good props and lighting.
weird, i thought this past week's theme was lines, and humor was the week before that....ah well. glad to see the theme link has returned to the bottom right-hand corner.
@oldvoltage Hi Kelly, if i am right, next weeks Theme will be last weeks winner of Lines, so we are working 2 weeks ahead, so if you win this weeks theme you pick the wEek after next?? if i am right that is.
@Tiina - yes it looks like the tag at the start of this thread is a link to images which have been tagged with only 2 l's whereas most people are using 3 l's to tag with - I hope Ross can sort this out
@Scrivna my old eyes were going crossed at the lineup of i's and l's in "stilllife", but I notice that although your "theme-stilllife" has 3 L's, the link you provide above only has two http://365project.org/tags/theme-stillife. So there are a few of us that placed that spelling in our tags :-)

Very thoughtful of you :)

And congrats to Peter!
I'm stoked about this theme, should be lots of fun since it has so much wiggle room
Ok, still life here we come. Thanks for the links!
