I have so many challenges and @fiveplustwo to do once a week so i wont do the themes, but I will be cheering you on! @30pics4jackiesdiamond once a month is a good idea,
i hope, you beautiful ladies, would do the weekly themes. remember that there is no set day to post your self portraits. also, for this community, your self-portrait does not always need to include your face. there were times when i didn't feel like putting in any effort to make my face look decent for a photograph and i put on sunglasses, or blur myself by not focusing on my face, or using low key lighting or high key lighting. the goal is to be creative but it must be comfortable for you, too.

@teresamaro As @summerfield said, there's no set day so I'll probably just post mine as I do it. I sort of like the idea of posting it the same day each week but it might be too hard to stick to. Selfie Saturday sounds good ;)
@bella_ss - okay, i just came to and re-read your opening line. "the beautiful?" i almost choked, kid! hahahaha. but thanks. one thing you guys must know, photoshop or ribbet will be your best friend for the next 52 weeks!

I kind of like the idea of Selfie Saturday, so like Vikki I might post mine on Saturdays. It's the OCD kicking in to line them up neatly in the month!
In the interests of pushing myself out of my comfort zone, I'm going to try and play along this year, so I think I may join you ladies. I'm not sure that I'll make a whole year...... but who knows. :)
Oh my, I've been looking at other posts - humming and hawing about if I should try it... it's such a good way to document a face over a year.
So I tried it and will at least give this week a go.
I will take it one week at a time!
OK, I've been looking for a challenge to push me a bit this year and I think that once a week is a nice balance so I'm going to take part in this one :)
@bella_ss Selfie Saturday does sound like a good idea (nice alliteration and like you, I think lining them up will look better). No guarantees I'll manage to stick to that though!

@clearday Fantastic! Glad you will join us. Selfie Saturday turned into Freaky Friday this week as I realised I would be too busy to spend the time on the computer tomorrow so I've already posted mine. Have a look at the tag, lost of people have already posted :)
I just started my first 52 self portraits project today! I would love to try these themes as well. Love to get ideas for motivating me, especially with something like this! I'm always behind the camera!
Ok, I am in. This is totally out of my comfort zone. I think I will have to "imitate" many of the selfies that all of you post. So, I hope that is okay.
i have found a new diversion - checking on everyone's 52pom2018 posts. i'm so glad that you beautiful ladies (and i see there's a couple of gentlemen who are participating) decided to try this challenge. remember that this is not a beauty contest but rather a challenge for yourself to learn about yourself and your camera and other things that are sometimes not even photography related. you control how you project yourself to your audience and that is where you make use of your creativity. never say you're not creative enough - we all have it in us but for some it is untapped and it takes something like this for it to come to the surface.
i am enjoying all the posts so far and i am in awe that you are all beautiful and handsome and you've been denying the world to appreciate and admire you. i will offer encouragement every now and then and maybe, just maybe, join in on a couple of the themes. the worldwide web is at your disposal if you are in need of ideas. as teresa wrote above, there is no shame in picking up creativity from others. some of my ideas had been inspired by other's postings around here, i rarely go too far from 365.
I liked the sound of this challenge, especially after reading summerfield's tips, I especially liked the bit about not included your face! I'm quite excited about having a go, but it will probably be more like JackieR's idea of once a month, but who knows It could end up been my next mini obsession, I get a lot of those.:)
@teresamaro You are so right. @summerfield is my inspiration to even try this challenge. I just wish I could get that black background (on purpose). It happens on occasion, but I don't know how I do it.
Not a big selfie person but if I have learned anything in the past two years it is that you must challenge yourself and so I've decided to give this a try. Thanks for organizing Sheralee @bella_ss and thanks to Vikki @summerfield as well.
I'm in. I think it will be a great learning exercise. The trick for me is not to look two far ahead and just take each week as it comes. There will be no make up involved either (allergies). Thanks :)

So sorry I haven't been here! I'm glad to see some of you are still doing this. I had a break when my hard drive died and now it's just so hard to get back to it. Not only did my hard drive die but I managed to put some malware and other terrible stuff on my computer... what a nightmare!

After much brain-wracking, this is my first effort (as a bonus it forced me to figure out some features of photoshop too!)
