Lovely image @weezilou a deserving winner! I really liked the curving steps and the verticals you captured here.

@francoise I'm so sorry for being so late in the coming by! I appreciate so much the votes and kind words for my unexpected find in a California train station! Since over a week ago l developed a cold & larengitis...put me in bed all last week &after a visit to the emergicenter yesterday, I'm on antibiotics... each morning I hope to have energy again... I had to write all this so you'd know I appreciate the honor, but may I pass it on to the next worthy finalist?

@pistache @chikadnz @kali66 for coming by with kind comments, thank you very much ♥

@francoise when did you send the notification? All week I've hardly eaten or been on the computer... my body has been taken over by aliens! Not my style!!

@chikadnz You are the runner-up. Since Louise is not well, she would like to pass on the artist challenge to the "next worthy finalist." Are you willing to take up the mantle and run the next artist challenge?

@francoise Thanks for the honour but apologies as I also need to decline, we have a busy few weeks ahead and I'm currently hosting the landscape challenge, so I won't be able to give this one the time it deserves. Hope someone else is able to pick it up and run with it!

@Weezilou I hope that you're feeling better. As you can see from the last comment, the next runner-up declined. My suggestion is that we just delay the start of the next artist challenge until you are feeling better. If that takes 3 weeks, I think that's fine! What do you think?

@francoise Ken asked if I'd checked to see what had transpired here... Thank you for the reprieve! This is one *nasty* bug that has me by the ankles and incapable of moving/no energy...! (Still no voice...I just whisper to Ken and if he's not in earshot, I call his cell phone!) I have time, then to peruse some older books from museum shows I've been to in years past...I'd really enjoy doing that! ....Three weeks from now I'll be in Costa Rica taking photo classes...GOTTA get my energy back! Back from there, we have a few days to repack, head to MA to see daughter-&-family before going to Nova Scotia where we're being joined by other daughter & family. ...SO...Here's my game plan! Before then I'll try to have made my choice and have written everything up to copy and paste in the moment I can can begin the new challenge... Calendar suggests about 8th of July! Canada Day over, 4th of July behind us. I'll be more settled in for the summer transition...

I realize you're an intermediary voice in this game plan, but I can look to make it a summer project for everyone who has some free time! I'd hate to drag this out, but I would like to do it... Sound like a plan?

(You can see why to have become so sick at this time was NOT a part of the game plan! (Didn't mention we're also going to Catalina again with the fam to celebrate Ken's birthday the end of the month!!!)

I'm sure you'll be happy to let me take the project and leave you to get on with your life, too, for now! I really did love learning about this photographer and trying to emulate him; I just hadn't considered what might lay ahead!

@Weezilou sounds great! I think a reprieve for everyone from a particular challenge will make it all the more tempting in July. Keep on keeping on!

@francoise ♥ See you, then, in July!
