Composite Photography Challenge #7 - theme: Place and Space

June 13th, 2018
Thanks to Mona @mona65 for hosting the last composite challenge and to everyone who played along and voted... and thank you for voting my image as the winner of that challenge...

this is a fab challenge and a great way to practice working with layers and editing... this challenge is for all levels - you don't have to be an expert... just let your creative juices flow and jump right in!

for this round i have chosen the theme of "place and space"... one of the things i love about making composites is it allows you to build a world and populate it as you choose... put an elephant in a refrigerator, put a cow on the moon, make yourself the message in a bottle... hopefully you'll find this theme inspirational as well... i can't wait to see what you come up with!

incidentally, the definition of composite photography that we're working with is an image made by combining several distinct photographs (or pieces of photographs) together... at least one of the photos you use must be your own...

you can also choose to add in components from stock images - there are lots of options on the internet, but please be sure to respect the rules about how images taken by others are used... generally you want to look for images licensed under creative commons that are free to use for any purpose... some places you can go to look for stock images are:

also, there are a ton of YouTube tutorials on composite photography... below is a link to a site with over 100 tutorials... hopefully that will give you some ideas to get started with...
