October Words of the Month

October 1st, 2018

While the weekend started off very quiet and I had full plans on posting the words on Friday night, it rapidly progressed to crisis management with lots happening. So sorry this is so late!

The words of the month are continuing to either take on a theme or coat-tail with other challenges going on with 365. So when Jackie @30pics4jackiesdiamond suggested many opposite words October Opposites came to mind.

We have High key/ low key, odd/even, smart/scruffy, old/new, real/fake, home/away, and simplicity/extravagance. I put the words one above the other in the calendar view for ease of comparison and interest although you do not need to do the words in that order if you choose.

Thank you to everyone who continues to contribute their suggestions each month. Your continued faithfulness to this challenge makes my job as host of this challenge a breeze!

For newer members, the word of the month is a great place to dip your toes into. This challenge is also a great place for older members who occasionally lose their mojo and need ideas or inspiration. It can be a great challenge for those who want to go that extra nine yards to do a full month of words. The choice is yours!

The tag for the month will continue in the same format as before, first three letters of the month, the year and then โ€˜wordsโ€™ (oct18words).

Feel free to do one word, a few, or all of them. They can be done in any order you choose, or on the suggested day. Pop in daily, or just on occasion. This is your challenge, and your project. Until next month, enjoy!

I have started putting the words that I think I can work with in my phone calendar. I save your photo page in the monthly folder with my pics. If I am out I can at least refer to my saved words

You missed the new and that put the others out of order, but no matter, I'll fix it up when I do it - good job to get it out at all with the stressful weekend you had!

I know I haven't participated in this for a good while, but I want you to know that I appreciate you continuing to do this Wendy! I am hoping to get more involved once I get all my editing software re-installed and setup to my liking again!

@jld29
What messes me up every time is the fact that my agenda calendar starts on Sunday and 365 starts on Monday - I get it wrong every time!

@henrir @mittens
You are both most welcome - I really do not mind when I know that there are people like yourselves who use the words! It makes it all worthwhile.

@skipt07
I also am working on software (Lightroom) and that is taking up so much time. I know it will be well worth it once it is up and running.

Going to Scotland! I have always wanted to visit there - looks so rugged and beautiful. Have a great trip.
I too am looking forward to seeing how many words you can get done!

@olenadole
Looking forward to seeing some of your words - it is a fun challenge and you can do some, or all, of them. Your choice!

@henrir
So sorry that you could not read the words - I should not have made the words bold and used a bigger text. Will remember that for next time.
It works out fine if you print the page off.

@farmreporter I had trouble after printing it too. And it could have been my printer. I have a new printer and I may not have it set right because the words were blurred. No worries. I have the words and will try to use more of them this month. Thank you for your work on these every month.
