It's that time again... time for a new weekly theme! Congratulations to Heather Benton for taking this winning photo for the Water theme. We had so many amazing entries it was hard just to pick the top 5 to vote on, check them all out here.
Heather has picked "Human Emotion" as the this week's theme. This is a great opportunity for all of us to try to get some of those candid shots of our friends, family or even strangers deep in their thoughs or emotions.
Here are a couple of photos to get your ideas going: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
As for the Fine Print, to enter your photo to this weeks theme, you need to tag your photo with the tag "theme-humanemotion"
Entry to this theme starts on Monday (15th March) and will accept entries until Sunday night (23:59 GMT March 21st), voting will begin the following day.
Entries must have been taken and uploaded this week only! Entries outside of the date range will not be accepted. You can enter up to 7 entries (one for each day of the week).
I am always affraid to shoot strangers, or people in general for that matter, and put the photo on the net. They might not want that at all I always think, and I never dare to shoot when I see people do nice stuff.
@iiwi thats always what I think, it's OK if I know them, but I hate taking photos of people because they might think you're odd. I would want to take them without them knowing, as it makes the shot sometimes, but I don't want to go giving out model releases to everyone I take a picture of.
yep im with u guys on this one too ... tonight would of been a perfect shot .. i work in aged care and took a brillant shot of our oldest resident ... She gave me the most proudest smile . She will be hitting her 100th birthday in less then a month. bummer i cant use her photo but ive got enough friends / family i can hassle to get some good emotional from , even if i have to hit them to make them cry lmao
looking forward to the entries this week thats for sure !!!
and congrats heather , was a awesome shot !!!
I love the theme! And luckily (maybe not luckily!), my daughters are a rollercoaster of emotions like most kids, I guess).... They go from laughing to crying in 1 second! So it won't be too hard!!!!
yes, photographing strangers would be a no-go for me too, but family and friends are great...so I might even have a go at putting in an entry this week!
