Winner and Artist's Critique, Nils Karlson Challenge

May 15th, 2019
Nils' has finally responded. He loved the imagery, so we should be collectively proud. The image chosen by Nils that best depicts Nils' genre was shot by @etienne, a beautiful pastel seascape that deftly captures Nil's eye. Well done and congratulations. As an aside and further kudos to @etienne, several of his images hit the mark for Nils. I guess great minds think alike!

On a personal note, I too feel these images really capture Nils' unique style. I am impressed! It was a fun endeavor for me to put this together.

Being technically challenged, I put a post on my blog containing Nil's words, along with the imagery with numbered images corresponding to Nils' text references. Here is a link to my blog post:

Thanks to all for your patience, he is one busy guy with projects galore going on!

Kind regards, @walrus.

I feel so honored and encouraged. Thank you to Sergeant Pepper@walrus for having initiated and driven such a rare challenge opportunity. Thank you to Nils Karlson for having devoted some of his busy time to look at all our pictures and to make such appreciative comments. Since day 1 of this challenge I have felt a great admiration for Nils Karlson’s pictures and a great connection with his way of “seeing” the world, even if I cannot match it in any way. He has a unique style and a fantastic technique, being able to do what he does without any digital post-processing. This challenge has been a unique and enjoyable experience for me and probably for quite some of us. It remains a source of inspiration, and I often surprise myself thinking : “ How would Nils Karlson make that shot ?“.
