Tasty Technique Challenge #98

September 23rd, 2019
Thank you so much to Vikki @summerfield for hosting the last Technique Challenge. I am honoured, and very surprised, to now be hosting this one. Thank you to everyone who participated in Vikki’s challenge and to all who voted in her shortlist.

So, what to do for this the 98th challenge?? Looking at the long list of past techniques, I wanted to do something not yet proposed; so I’ve come up with FOOD. We are fortunate enough to eat food regularly every day, we watch people take a photo before they’ve had a taste, food is all around us in its raw, cooked and, sadly, unwanted litter states.

Google 'Food Photography' and there are loads of tips, hints, lessons and videos on ‘how to’. So prepare your studio, kitchen or dining room;, align your legumes, prop up your peppers, clean your carrots; display your dinner or raid a restaurant and play with your food- you have my permission to.

Oh, and you get to eat your props

There’s only two rules, the photograph must be taken by you between today 23rd September to 20 October when I will select my delicious shortlist to compile a menu for your delectation to vote.

I hope entries can be found here technique98 but do please also copy your entry to this thread.

There are some stunning good shots here on 365
