Mundane Macro Challenge

December 1st, 2019
Hi 365’ers,

I was really surprised to win the macro-kitchenuniverse challenge, hosted by Marloes @stimuloog, thanks Marloes.

Thanks to everyone who voted for my image.

Hope D Jennings @mzzhope was kind enough to congratulate me on my win, and say I was a "mundane-macro King" it amused me.

So let's go with that for the next challenge, 'mundane-macro'

I love to look around for any item, and see what it looks like as a Macro image. A few examples below:

A Sharpie Nib

A Zip

A Pen Top

This challenge is an invitation to find mundane items and see if you can create an interesting image. Anything goes, I've made images out of a rusty saw, a burnt match, stitching on a shoe, spaghetti, brush bristles, and even a half eaten biscuit (cookie).

The starting date: Tuesday December 3rd
End of challenge: Friday December 20th (24.00 hours own local time zone)
Tag: mundane-macro
Voting: ASAP after closing time

I hope you all have a go and I look forward to seeing your images

You had me confused for a bit — wondering how we ended up with two concurrent mundane challenges. Then I realized this was the macro challenge, with mundane as the theme. It’s too late in the game to change the tag now, but it might be more clear if the next round returns to the tag format of ‘macro’ first and then the theme. That being said, I have more than enough mundane stuff lying around, so I’ll surely have some macro shots to contribute to this round!

@mcsiegle I’ve not hosted a challenge before and will not be likely to again. Sorry for the error
